First Condos Close at Portland On The Park
published on 2017-02-18
Construction workers were buzzing in and around Phoenix's new Portland on the Park highrise last month to get it ready for the move-ins and now the first closings have gone in the books. Recent closings run the gamut of prices, from a one bedroom in the $380's to a penthouse for $1,031,500.
Portland on the Park is situated in downtown Phoenix on Portland Street, right next to its sister building Portland Place.
North Facing Condos get a Park View
One of the best features of Portland on the Park is its location, right next to the Margaret T. Hance Park. Residents facing north are treated to a full on view of the park and the picturesque Japanese Tea Garden. This little walk-worthy enclave makes you forget that you are in downtown Phoenix with all the greenery both in the park and the Tea Garden.
Step Outside for Plenty of Things to Do
Commercial space is available on the first floor of Portland on the Park. Until it gets here, residents need only walk a few steps to some local spots.
The intimate, tree lined Portland Street in front of Portland on The Park is mostly residential, but there are a few spots to hang your hat. The Fair Trade Cafe beckons the morning crowd, with coffee and sandwiches, and sitting spot to watch the world go by. Portland Street also has Fez, a cafe with outdoor seating (voted "best Patio" in 2015 by Phoenix New Times)
A block away from Portland Portland On the Park is Roosevelt Street, with art galleries and more cafes.
Traveling farther is a breeze, with the light rail stop a few minutes walk. Ride into Downtown Phoenix for plays or sporting events, or keep going to Tempe to walk around Tempe Town Lake or enjoy the action of Mill Street.
