Phoenix and Scottsdale are full of golf communities. You buy a condo or home in the community and you'll automatically be a member of the golf club. Though thats a great lifestyle, it often doesn't work for many of our condo buyers who live here seasonally or play golf sporadically and don't want to pay the steep fees to enjoy the country club lifestyle. Instead, we suggest living near one of the golf courses in the valley that is open to the public.

One of the more popular courses to live around is Stonecreek Golf Course. Located in east Phoenix just on the edge of Scottsdale, Stonecreek Golf Club is an 18 hole course with driving range, practice green and clubhouse with restaurant. Fees range from $50-$80 in the winter, which is very reasonable compared to courses over at Kierland and Grayhawk. Most fairways are wide, and you simply look south for a great view of the local mountains. And just like a fancy golf club, Stonecreek has tournaments and golf clinics for those who want to step up their game. There are 3 condo communities to just a "stone's throw" to the clubhouse of the Stonecreek course: Aderra, Anasazi, and Villas at Stonecreek.

Aderra is a newer condo development just east of the Stonecreek clubhouse, with 3 stories and underground parking. Some of the units have balconies with spectacular southern views of the course and the mountains beyond. Buyers looking for a great view should check out these condos, currently selling in the low $300's for 2 bedroom units with course views. For a more modest price, forego the course view, but not the nice interiors.

On the west side of the Stonecreek clubhouse are condos at Anasazi, with some units overlook the course from private balconies. Golf views are currently available in the low $200's. But many units still overlook Anasazi's well-kept landscaping and greenbelts and are available for less. Villas at Stonecreek are right next to the clubhouse, so you'll be able to easily walk over with your clubs. However there are no balconies overlooking the course in this development.

Villas at Stonecreek are more of a townhome style, with garages on the first floor and living areas on the second and third floors. There you go. Three great choices for places to live near this fun golf course. We bring clients to condos here who love to walk to other amenities as well. The Tatum/Shea area is full of great restaurants, shopping and a bike path that wanders next to the course.

Stonecreek golf course run along the Scottsdale border, and there are two Scottsdale condo developments there- Milano Terrace and Village at Stone Creek.
